The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has announced new rules on the purchase and use of professional rodenticide bait. From 1 June 2016 anyone wishing to buy professional rodenticide bait will need to hold certified ‘proof of competence’ in rodent pest control. This one day course has received recognition as the required standard to show proof of competence.

Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control – Level 2 Award[Lantra course code 2752]

The qualification is aimed at anyone who wishes to control vertebrates using aluminium phosphide in a commercial environment and is suitable for pest operatives, farmers, greenkeepers and gamekeepers. Aluminium phosphide is a dangerous compound which used incorrectly can be hazardous to the health and safely of users, the general public and non-target animals, therefore it is essential people are trained properly. This one day course is fully approved by the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) as one of the qualification certificates required to purchase chemicals from 26 November 2015.
